Day 3 - March 6, 2009

Day 2 - March 6, 2009

British Mum spent the day contacting local agencies, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the British Embassy.

Day One - March 4, 2009

British Mum arrived at Scientology Headquarters on Hollywood Blvd from a 6,000 mile journey to see her daughter after an 11-year separation. Exhausted and emotional, she asked the male receptionist, "I would like to see Mandy Kember."

"Are you her mom?"

"Yes."

"Did she know you were coming?"

"No."

He then got on the phone and while he was on the phone he repeated, "Did she know you were coming?"

His hands were shaking.

He finished the phone call and then said nervously, "You know the situation, and should respect Mandy's wishes."

"I don't really know what Mandy's wishes are, because I haven't spoken to her since 2000, but whatever they are, I would like her to tell me. I don't know if she knows that her father recently died."

"Did you send her a letter?"

"No, I phoned and phoned and all of the members of my family phoned, but you guys never put me through to Mandy. I just want to see my daughter."

At that point he repeated, "Write her a letter."

"What? I've just traveled 6,000 miles to write her a letter?"

The man then smirked, "Have a nice day."

The conversation was over, and British Mum walked out.

A security guard followed her down the street.
